Simple Race Day Operations

In this episode of Bits & Beeps, we look at simplifying your race day operations.

Add event location

• instant focus to location in map view
• allows for location filtering on my.raceresult.com

Add gpx/kml file

• ask organizer to provide official course map file
• if they can't, draw your own file directly in RACE RESULT 14
• offers better overview of the actual race venue
• allows for Tracking on my.raceresult.com

Add GPS coordinates to timing points

• overview and confirmation that timing points are actually planned on-course
• automatic pre-selection of timing points for devices if within short distance of planned location

Timing Point Selection

• for Passive, always select Timing Point
• for Active, use Automatic Timing Point Selection with Channel and Loop ID and leave timing point selection empty
