The timing of open water swimming competitions is easily possible with the RACE RESULT Active System. Setting up an in-water finish arch with precise timing is particularly easy thanks to the handy hardware.
The Track Box allows for check points and close monitoring of the athletes. The solution described here has been used among a variety of world-class events.
Placing a Loop Box at the finish in repeat mode helps you to time the race from the timing tent with the USB Timing Box up to 500m away from the finish line, without the need of a wired connection or the placing of a Decoder with SIM Card.
The loop can be easily placed behind the vertical wall made of foam board, which the participants need to touch to finish their race. Loop power can be set at around 30% to ensure the maximum precision between the real touch of the board and the transponder detection.

USB Timing Box
Directly connected to a computer, the USB Timing Box is a complete timing system and does not require a decoder. 100% detection rate, internal memory for 1,000 detections, internal backup battery. Wireless reception of split times from Loop Boxes.
Loop Box
Easy and cost-effective way to collect splits times. At nearby timing points detections are repeated wirelessly to the main system. In case of remote timing points, the ActivePro Transponder saves the passing time and then transmits them when arriving at the finish. Integrated battery for 12-20 h.
ActivePro V3 Transponder
The most accurate active transponder on the market. It combines a true accuracy of 0.004 s with 5 years battery life, 120 km/h max speed and the unique features "store mode" and "tracking mode". The design is 100% waterproof. No follow-up costs such as subscription or activation fees.
Velcro Strap
Used to attach the transponder to the ankle. Resuable and machine washable.
