Beginning with Powerboard firmware version 1.6.6, you can schedule automatic boot and shutdown times for your Ubidium. This feature is particularly useful for long-term installations, such as those powered by solar panels.

Set Boot / Shutdown Time

You can configure each setting independently by selecting the desired date and time, as well as whether you want the action to repeat daily.

A schedule can only be activated if the selected time lies in the future. When Repeat daily is enabled, the action is carried out every day at the selected time.

Boot Scheduler

The boot time can be set up to 49 days in advance. To boot at the scheduled time, the batteries need a minimum charge level. If the charge is too low, Ubidium will boot as soon as the minimum level is reached:
5 % when connected to AC Power, PoE or USB-C
10 % when connected to DC Power, for example a solar panel

If a boot time is scheduled for the device it will by shown on the standby screen.

Shutdown Scheduler

When less than 24 hours remain until a scheduled shutdown, the time remaining is shown on the main screen.

Manual Restarts

Turning the system off and on manually before a scheduled boot or shutdown has been carried out has no effect on the schedule.

After a scheduled action has been carried out, the auto-boot is scheduled again on the next shutdown, and the auto-shutdown again on the next boot, provided the scheduled time still lies in the future.
