Are there any personalization fees?
Our print products can contain individual data depending on the participant. As soon as you
- submit an Excel list or
- use data from a RACE RESULT 12 event file or
- provide QR codes or graphics from third-party services for recognition and photo distribution platforms
There will be a one-off cost of 15 EUR / 15 USD for personalization.
The following variables are free of charge, if they do not need an Excel file and do not have a RACE RESULT 12 event ID linked:
- Simple bib number ranges
- Barcode / QR code
- Relay numbers
- Layout -> entire layout or only logo change
- Texts such as competition name per number range
- Color changes of areas and text
How do I submit personalization data?
- When using RACE RESULT 12, you can link the event ID during the order process.
- You can upload one single Excel file during the order process or send it to shop@raceresult.com (please include order ID).
Personalization from RACE RESULT 12 Event File
When using RACE RESULT 12 for your event, you can link your order to the event ID.
Please note that only one event can be linked per order.
We can then dynamically use most fields from your event file for personalization. This includes:
- All user inputs (name, club, team, age, phone, …), incl. additional text fields
- Nation -> flags
- Contest name
- Bib number
- Bib ranges
- Age groups
- User-defined fields
- User-defined attributes
- Custom additional fields, such as T-shirt sizes, etc.
- Comments
- CMYK color codes for the bib design
Please note that the following event file data cannot be used for personalization:
- Event name
- Pictures
- Start times / Finish times
- Results
- Team Scores
- Lists
- Certificates
- Statistics
Kindly be aware that the process may encounter issues if there are errors in your event data, such as duplicate field names. To avoid problems and delays, please ensure all entries in your event file are unique and free from redundancies.
Personalization – Excel File Requirements
Each column of your Excel file needs a unique header that we use as a placeholder to when designing your personalized layout. Please be clear and consistent when naming columns.
We can process the following data for personalization:
- Text incl. special characters (e.g. bib number, contest name, first / last name, team, club, company, year of birth, address fields, phone, …)
- CMYK color code
- URLs for QR-code or barcode
Please note the following points when creating your data file:
- Per order, create only a single file with all start numbers (including the numbers that do not have any personalization). Do not create multiple files or worksheets. If you have multiple products with personalized data, please use additional columns in the same file to specify these products.
- If you order start numbers with transponders, there cannot be any number duplicates in the file.
- If the printed start number differs from the requested transponder coding, you must create a separate column with the transponder number. For example: the printed start number is A101, but the transponder is programmed as 101.
- If you order start numbers with transponders, please note that the programmed transponder codes may have a maximum of 7 digits – the highest permissible number is therefore 9,999,999.
- Name each column header and inform us, which column should be placed where on the layout. The column headers cannot contain any empty spaces or special characters.
- In case of a layout change within the same order, please create a column with the layout's name.
- In case of a color change, please create a column with the CMYK color value or the color name.
- For personalization with country flags, we need the ALPHA-2 or ALPHA-3 code in a column. All countries must be written in the same code.
