Automatic vehicle assignment
The pressure hose provides the precise timing impulse, while the active loop identifies the vehicle via its transponder. Both signals are matched automatically, eliminating manual assignment of times and car numbers and reducing staffing needs and errors.
More timing points, more flexibility
With its integrated battery, the timing system Ubidium operates independently of mains power — ideal for remote locations. Less manual interaction makes timing points easier to deploy, allowing organizers to add more regularity tests, intermediate measurements or control lines with less staff and infrastructure.
Live results
Timing data is transmitted directly to RACE RESULT software for immediate processing. Results and rankings can be calculated and published while the event is still running, giving participants and officials instant access to the latest standings.
Mount an Active Transponder to the front of each vehicle, for example on the license plate or bumper. Each transponder has a unique ID, allowing the system to automatically identify the vehicle at every timing point.
At the timing point, position Ubidium next to the course and install the loop cable across the road (the loop cable can be taped to a rubber mat for fast deployment). Connect the pneumatic pressure hose to Ubidium's trigger input. As soon as a vehicle touches the hose, it generates the precise timing trigger. At virtually the same moment, the active loop detects the vehicle's transponder and its unique ID.
Both signals are transmitted live from Ubidium to the timing software, i.e., via mobile network. The software matches the trigger time with the corresponding transponder id and calculates times, points, and rankings. Results are immediately published online.

Pressure Hose
The Pressure Hose provides a clearly visible timing line for precise rally and regularity timing, where tenths of a second matter for rankings. It connects directly to Ubidium’s trigger input, generating a timing impulse whenever a tire contacts it. The hose is not part of the RACE RESULT product range and must be sourced separately.
