Patent Granted for RACE RESULT Development

The RACE RESULT team are pleased to announce the granting of a European patent on the Chip2Go. The portable machine can be used to quickly and easily program bib transponders to the desired start number. The Chip2Go is the first machine of its kind that was specially developed for the requirements of sports timekeeping. (Patent No. EP3605382)

Technical advantage

“Such patents are great because they are the official proof of our innovative strength,” says CTO Nikias Klohr. “At the same time, they give our customers a technical lead. A machine like the Chip2Go is only available from RACE RESULT. "

Chip2Go was introduced in 2018. The device is handy, robust and works without any external data connection. This makes it ideal for last-minute production of chip start numbers, for example as part of the race day pickup and on-site registration.

Sustainability is becoming more important

“Three years after its market launch, we are still very satisfied with this product. Chip2Go has simplified many workflows for our customers. After the events, fewer unused transponders have to be thrown away. The aspect of sustainability is becoming more and more important in the timing business, ” sums up Nikias Klohr.
