13 years and over 5000 events. We present to you a small selection of references
to give you an idea for which different kinds of events race result 11 can
be used and is used.
Münz Business Run
The münz business run in Koblenz is a highlight
for race result every year. The 10.000 participants on 6K beat all
records year after year. Due to the short distance, over 500 runners
finish per minute at peak times. Even the warm-up of some participants
creates more passings than at many other races.
During this race race result has the chance to demonstrate its true
performance: the timer calculates positions and team results based
on net time in real time. This way, the announcer could see the number
of finishers, the best men and women and the best teams anytime without
delay.
Cycle Cross World Championship 2008,
Treviso, Italy
In January 2008, the Cycle Cross World Championship
attracted thousands of spectators to Treviso, Italy. The 250 top bikers
from all over the world fought up to 9 laps through the mud. In the
category Men Elite the Dutch biker Lars Böhm prevailed over his
competitors. race result and Andreas Seeli from ASPro Sport GmbH had mainly the
task to distribute live information. Not only the announcer wanted
to know the leading riders with their times at any time, but also
several radio and TV commentators.
Not only the commentators, but also the organizers of the Union Cycliste
Internationale were impressed: "It had never been that good!"
The German Blade Challenge is a speed skating
series with 13 events all over Germany. For the timing, Sports Service
Hamburg marches up with race result 11 for all 13 events. In particular
the final race, the ZDF Inliner Days in Mainz, requires top performances
of men and software. 10 different races start one after another (among
them races of the World Inline Cup), which have several different
scorings. Additionally, the big screen for the public and the screen
for the announcer had to be set-up for every race, and after each
race the results were checked with the photo finish system because
thousands of a second were decisive.
The Tour of Bright is a multi-day bike race through
south-eastern Australia. Both athletes and organizers were impressed
how race result published results live on my race result. The comments
on my race result couldn't be any better for the Australian timer:
"This was my first Tour of Bright. It was a fantastic and testing
event superbly organised....can we have the GPS and LIVE results for
every race...it's the way forward!",
"Great to be able to follow the race from Queensland and get
the results so quickly - great job. And what a beautiful place to
have this tour - keep it going!",
"Results so fast, well done, even us Kiwis are impressed!!"
This event is a 24h MTB race in the Munich Olympic
Park. Teams of 1, 2, 4 or 8 riders try to make as many laps as possible
during 24 hours. In 2008, over 2000 riders were registered and created
more than 30.000 passings. race result 11 calculated the number of laps
as well as statistics, such as the fastest and slowest lap of each
rider, and presented this information on six LCD screens, set up in
the transition area. This way, every team could always see their current
position, their number of laps, and their times.
But not only the riders had access to this information, but also their
friends. On my race result result lists were published live.
